Abbots Care involved in new pilot project to reduce strain on local health services
During the Falls Prevention Awareness Week (23rd–27th September), we at Abbots Care are excited to announce our involvement in a cutting-edge pilot project using electric lifting cushions to aid fall recovery at home. This initiative is a result of our partnership with the Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) and Winncare.
The main focus of this project is to minimise the need for hospital visits which are often stressful and inconvenient for our clients. Additionally, this will also help in reducing the constant pressure on ambulance services, making them more available for urgent cases.
We are thrilled that this initiative has already started making waves in industry circles. The well-known industry publication, PsychReg magazine, has featured this story, providing us with encouragement and recognition for our efforts.
