Abbots Care Awards 2024
This year marked the 5th official annual Abbots Care Awards. The ceremony at Tewinbury Farm provided an opportunity to celebrate the amazing achievements of our Care Workers.
The night began with welcome drinks for all the attendees, providing a chance for the Care Workers to socialise before moving into the main dining hall for an all-expenses paid 3-course meal.
Each course of dinner was punctuated by a set of awards with the winner getting a professional photo taken of their winning moment followed by an interview with a full camera crew discussing their achievements and what their work means to them.
The evening came to a close as we danced away to some fantastic live music from a 5-piece band!
A wonderful evening was had by all, and it gave us great pride to see our Care Workers receiving the applause they deserve for the work they do every single day.

Making a Difference (Hertfordshire) Award
We are thrilled to recognise a compassionate and committed care worker from Hertfordshire, whose dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of clients truly stands out. This award recognises the significant role of the home Care Worker in Buckinghamshire who consistently provides a high-quality standard of care for people living in their own homes. They should recognise any changes in their regular Clients and follow the correct procedures to support their Clients.

The Making a Difference (Dorset) Award
This award is dedicated to a care worker from Dorset, known for their passion for making a positive difference in the lives of their clients. Their commitment to providing compassionate care has made a significant impact, ensuring that clients feel valued and supported in every step of their journey.

The Learning Disability and Specialist Care Hero Award
This award recognises the significant role of a specialist Care Worker and how they consistently provide support to children and young adults with learning/physical disabilities in a social setting. They will use their own initiative, build a strong relationship with the Clients and their families, and support colleagues.

The Reablement Rockstar Award
This award recognises the specialised role of a Reablement Care Worker and how they consistently provide support to people who have been discharged from hospital and enable them to live as independently as possible in their own home. Evidence of using initiative, encouragement, and dedication to support colleagues and Clients will be important elements for the judges.

The Extra Care Schemes Excellence Award
This award is for a Care Worker who works in one of our Extra Care schemes. It recognises someone who not only ensures their Clients’ health and mental wellbeing are looked after, but also supports their colleagues too. This person supports Clients to live as independently as possible in their own settings, completes activities with them and is a great team player.

The Live-in Superstar Award
This award recognises the significant role of a Care Worker who works with people who require 24-hour care. The Long Service Award
This award was created to honour the exceptional service provided to our clients, Abbots Care, and the Health and Social Care sector by individuals with ten or more years of experience. These care workers and team members have demonstrated remarkable commitment, dedication, and hard work, consistently delivering a high standard of person-centred care to our clients.
