At Abbots Care, compassion and quality are at the core of our service and we have put in place a stringent set of internal procedures as part of our on-going commitment to those who choose our services.
Our fully managed home care service is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In addition, we adhere to and are inspected by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and are proud members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, ARC and HCPA. Furthermore, our high-quality training and Care Certificate qualification are recognised by sector council Skills for Care
Our Accreditations
CQC regulated
The CQC is an independent regulator of health and social care services in England, and they rate services based on five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. The Care Quality Commission (CQC), has rated Abbots Care Hertfordshire an overall OUTSTANDING rating.
BSI
The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body of the United Kingdom. BSI produces technical standards on a wide range of products and services and also supplies certification and standards-related services to businesses.
Home Care Association
The Homecare Association are a membership body in the UK dedicated to supporting homecare providers. They work to ensure that home care is valued so that everyone can live well at home and flourish within their communities.
ARC England
The Association for Real Change supports knowledge development, improves practice and influences policy in health and social care for the benefit of people with learning disabilities or other support needs such as autism, mental health problems, sensory and physical disabilities.
HCPA
Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) aims at creating a county where all adults who receive care are given a service of true quality, personalised to their needs.
Spinal Injury Association (Sia)
Spinal Injury Association (Sia) support and give a voice to the 50,000 people in the UK living with a spinal cord injury so they can live a fulfilling life. Sia offer advice, support and access to expert information.

Leaders in Care Awards 2022
Winner: Frontline Carer of the Year, Suzi Chohan
We are thrilled that one of our Care Workers has been awarded as Frontline Carer of the Year – Suzi was recognised for her above and beyond approach to ensure the safety and wellbeing of her Service Users over the past 12 months.
Our team describe Suzi as an asset to the care industry. She is excellent at relationship building which has led to her great popularity amongst Service Users.

HCPA Awards 2022
Winners: Most Innovative Homecare Team
The Hertfordshire Care Awards took place on Friday 17th June 2022, and it was certainly a night to remember. Hosted at Warner Bros Studio’s ‘The Making of Harry Potter’ we were honoured to win on the night and celebrate all the incredible, innovative work that has been done by our amazing Care Workers throughout the pandemic.
