Care Roles in Buckinghamshire
Founded in 1995, Abbots Care is a leading home care agency, employing hundreds of care assistants, offering them comprehensive training and ensuring they have the skills needed to enjoy a fulfilling career in the field. Crucially, our management team is made up of individuals who all began their careers as care workers. As a result, they know the nature of the role and are able to draw from first-hand experiences to offer advice and guidance on home care jobs at any levels of your career stages.
We have received accreditation from the Care Quality Commission, Skills For Care and the United Kingdom Home Care Association and our testimonials page shows the high esteem our employees and service users hold us in. If you are a Buckinghamshire care worker, or would like to become one, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Care Jobs Available
At Abbots Care, we have numerous vacancies for people interested in a rewarding career as a Buckinghamshire care worker. Typically, health care assistant jobs will involve providing care for service users in their own home, offering them practical support, emotional support, personal care, companionship and assistance with medication. These service users include children, the elderly, and others with serious illnesses or disabilities, including dementia.
Most of the care roles involve providing care during the day. With that being said, night shifts are also available. Furthermore, we employ senior care assistants and specialist care workers, and people in these roles may have extra responsibilities, such as being able to train new recruits or carry out needs assessments.
Finally, we maintain a bank of trained and flexible care assistants, and this can be ideal for those looking for part time roles. Retaining this bank of flexible staff allows us to offer greater continuity of care and we are especially keen to hear from people with full-time availability at weekends. Indeed, we even offer weekend bank staff enhanced rates of pay, which can make it an ideal second income source, or an excellent opportunity for part-time work.
High-Quality Training
We take our role as a top home care recruiter for the Buckinghamshire region seriously and are passionate about ensuring our employees receive comprehensive care training. After applying for a role with Abbots Care, you will be required to complete a six-day paid induction training programme, delivered by qualified nurses and social care experts, ensuring you have a rounded knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of care work.
Upon completion of this induction training, you will receive a Care Certificate, in compliance with the UK government’s own Skills For Care standards. Meanwhile, further opportunities to train and gain recognised qualifications are available. Previous experience is not mandatory, and you can learn more by clicking here.
